Display all posts in child-categories

  • Hi!
    Although I’m reading through the forum for a while now, I can’t find the solution to my question – maybe you can help:
    I want to display all recent posts from a category and all its child-categories. How does that work? When I choose a category, it ignores the subcategories.

    I’m facing this problem when using the shorcode version. The only solution I can come up with is putting all posts in the mother category as well as the child category.
