I see “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting :: (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM)” error message, how do I fix this? You need PHP version 5.5 or higher on your Server!

I installed the plugin, but after the activation the site crashed. It returns always now a 500 error.

What can be done?

Which WordPress and PHP version is installed on the server?

If the php needs to be over 5.5 any chance you can exit on the attempt to activate with a helpful message.

Check your wordpress version, and you need php version >=5.5 on server!
