Processing Emails not being sent

To Woocommerce Developers,
I have an issue on one of my clients site. We are using latest version of WP and WC. If someone places an order it goes straight to on hold (BACS process) the client goes into the orders overview page and clicks the mini processing icon which used to send a “processing email” out to the customer isn’t being sent. We’ve tried it by using the “order process” option in the edit order page and this doesn’t work either. You have to select on the right hand side to re send the processing email for this to go through to the customer.
Completed order emails are going through with no issues.
Any idea as to what is causing processing emails not to work correctly?
