Hey there,
These secondary pages are awesome. I don’t give a crap about cars, but I’m getting exciting seeing these great photos of custom paint jobs and shiny bits of chrome.
However…
If you’re using images for the navigation, why is the type all crappy? Ditto on footer contact info, utility links in the top, and the Legal link. If they were text, they’d be easier to maintain, be accessible, and would render better in Vista/MacOSX. If you stay with images, they could look a lot better than this.
The information architecture here is a bit confusing. There’s like two competing navigation systems, the “Main Menu” navigation, and the “Services, Testimonials, etc.” navigation. They don’t seem related. I didn’t actually notice the “Main Menu” nav for a while, it seems like kind of an afterthought.
Finally, I don’t get the initial into page. It feels like those old flash intro pages from years back, a speedbump on my way to the rest of the site. Only, looking at the rest of the site, this is really also a really important part of navigating the site.
This site looks fantastic, but it really doesn’t make sense as I click through it. From the homepage I click on Custom Paint, but then there’s no link over to the section on airbrusing. I have to go up to Services / Airbrushing.
I’d recommend sitting down and mapping out the different things people coming to this site are likely to want to do. Reorganize the site and navigation around that. The design is there. This site just needs to be reshuffled.
