• I was hopeful this would work because the SkyVerge Braintree plugin is being discontinued and it has a small bug on the PayPal option. However, while this plugin works for credit cards just fine, it errors out for PayPal on an intermittent basis. The developer was initially responsive and I helped him debug for an hour on a bug that would presumably affect every merchant using the plugin. However, strangely, when it was apparently fixed and I politely asked for another license in exchange for my help (I had purchased a package for several sites but needed another one), he got very nasty. I figure the hour I spent helping him was worth a $20 license but he apparently disagreed.

Then later in the day I realized not one PayPal charge had come though and a customer called to complain. A quick check of the sites and I realized that sure enough, this plugin intermittently STILL does not work for PayPal. I had to ask for a refund and went back to the SkyVerge plugin. I am hopeful there will be a decent plugin out there by the time I need to retire the SkyVerge one but I won’t buy from this developer again. He literally was throwing out insults like an 8-year-old. Buyer beware.

    Hello Greg,

I feel compelled to share my side of the story as you seem to have gotten some facts wrong. While you did contact me and I worked with you to resolve your PayPal issue, the premise in which you asked for a free pro version of our plugin is not accurate. Once you confirmed that your issue was resolved, I emailed you and asked if you would leave us some feedback on WordPress. You responded that you would leave us a review if we gave you a free version of our paid plugin. Having already given you a 50% deal on your previous purchase of 7 licenses, I declined and said we didn’t need a review from you. That is when things went downhill and you responded negatively. Later in the day you requested a refund for the product to which we complied. As far as insults go your memory seems to be hazy. You referred to me as an idiot and used profanity. We strive to make all of our customers happy but that’s not always possible as is the case here. To those that read this review please understand that we are always happy to help and answer your questions. We only ask that you show kindness when communicating with either myself or one of our staff.

It is 100% bogus that I refused to give you a review without another license. I told you I would be glad to give you a review and then asked for a favor. There was no connection between those two things.

I paid you 3X what SkyVerge charged for the same plugin and then helped you fix a bug. One more license would have been a small gesture your on your part to repay me for the hour I spent helping you with your plugin bug. I asked nicely and you acted like I had stolen your firstborn.

I will not post your email here since it would prove nothing (anyone can modify emails) but suffice it to say that you act like a petulant child.

To others: Again, I would stay far away from him and his plugins. In the case of this one, PayPal is half of the functionality and I am shocked that he was selling it with a glaring bug. In fact, when I brought up the bug, he immediately knew what I was talking about so he apparently knew about it already.

    Hi Greg,

Unfortunately none of that is true. You are certainly entitled to share your perspective but at the time of me writing this response we have 32 5 star reviews. We place a premium on helping our customers and making sure they are taken care of and our reviews reflect that. We stand to gain nothing by behaving in the manner you have described and your account is not accurate. All the best in your future business endevours.

Subjectivity aside, here is what is true:

    1) Your plugin does not work at the moment except for credit cards.
    2) You lack professionalism.
    3) I recommend that everyone avoid you and the plugin and hope that WooCommerce gets their free version a bit less buggy as soon as possible. As soon as that is done, none of this is relevant. There is no reason to pay for a Braintree plugin if it is free. In the meantime, the SkyVerge plugin is cheaper than this one and more stable. I would know; I have used it two years and processed millions of dollars through it.
