I have also tried changing currencies and grams to ounces and it remains zero.

XML works fine from the Browser as well.

It’s not working on your own site, though. Nor mine. ??

    Any suggestions?

Hi Guys, sincere apologies for the downtime of the feed. Unfortunately our server has been experiencing some troubles over the last few weeks and we think a script for getting the gold feed is the culprit – basically loads of WordPress installs hitting it like crazy simulating a DDoS attack and causing the whole server to crash. Our server technicians are investigating and trying to resolve this. We can’t re-enable the feed until the issue is properly diagnosed and fixed because it just kills the server in connections. And we can’t easily move the feed elsewhere because it would do the same thing there, and anyway it would take time for any update we release to roll out to all users of the plugin. Bit of a catch 22! If you’d like, I can provide you instructions on how you can manually change the feed data link in the plugin to point directly to the (paid) data feed where we source the data. You’d need to buy ‘hits’ on that feed. See https://xml.dgcsc.org/ It’s not outrageous unless you have very high volume traffic.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Instructions for manually changing feed data URL:
1.) Visit https://xml.dgcsc.org/ and purchase access to the XML price feed.

2.) In the /gold-price plugin folder open the file admin.php

3.) In that file find all instances of the feed URLs. They’ll look like this:
https://enigmaplugins.com/get_xml/goldounces.xml and appear once for each metal type and measurement (grams, ounces). Replace those URLs with your own feed links delivered to you after purchasing the XML feeds from dgcsc.org (step 1 above)

    4.) Save to your webspace

Feeds should now work, using your own feed, instead of the ones coming from enigmaplugins.com

    —-

If I can’t resolve the server issue within another few days then I will release an update to the plugin which includes a field in the gold price plugin settings screen allowing you to insert your own feed URL. If a URL is entered there is will override the free feed from enigmaplugins.com This will ensure that users who need guaranteed feeds under their own control can do so.

Thanks again for your continued understanding and patience while this feed issue is resolved. I hope the above work-around is useful in the meantime.

    Hello

I am also facing the same issue.
    Price Showing 0.

    Hey Maeve,

Thanks for the help thus far.

After following your steps, I couldn’t get it to work. The feed no longer has a valid SSL Certificate, do you think this is part of the issue?

I tried removing https, with no fix.

I have double checked my links, and even tried changing the labels.

    Such as <gold> to <GoldPrice> etc…

    shortcode is showing 0.00

I have checked and made sure that the feed is up and running:
    https://demo.enigmaweb.com.au/gold-price/

    Demo also showing 0.00
