Has anyone had any issues with their Ninja Forms getting stuck when a user clicks submit?

For some reason, and ever since upgrading from v3.0.6 (I’m now on v3.0.9), I’m having intermittent problems with some Ninja Forms not working. If I go into the WordPress dashboard and simply republish the form everything corrects itself, but I can’t figure out what’s triggering this behavior.

I’m posting this as a followup in hopes that it will help other users. I found out that this problem is likely due to a conflict between Ninja Forms and WP-Super Cache.

    Read more here:
    https://docs.ninjaforms.com/customer/portal/articles/2045713-troubleshooting-ninja-forms#ts_cache

I have this problem but do not use super cache or any other plugin. What else to look at to fix it?

Me too. I’ve just put the clients site on line, so changed the URL. Any new form I create just gest stuck. I’m not using WP-Super Cache. Even this 1 line forme :
    https://pf-events.encours.fr/test/

Same problem for me too. In my case the problem seems to occur (so far) only on Apple devices. I have W3 Total Cache installed.
As I have reported to Ninja Forms, the exact same form content transmits perfectly every time using Contact Form 7. I just wish that plugin had a better style editor.
Ninja forms tested from their server and the form processed but as this is intermittent, I’m not surprised. All they could suggest was to install an SMTP plugin, but since the submission isn’t even logged and as Contact 7 works fine, I am inclined to believe the problem lies with the Ninja Forms plugin.
Honestly, as styling is my only problem with Contact 7, I’m going to have to give up on Ninja Forms (who BTW annoy me by not having a forum on their site for just these problems – it’s like they would rather keep them hidden)

Actually it was just a problem on the server and they fixed it for me. Works perfectly now. If you contact them they can look into it.

We were getting a 403 forbidden error when trying to save the form data. Usually this is because of a security restriction from the host. The admin-ajax.php is providing the 403 error.

I’m having this same problem but only on (mac) Chrome. I’m not using super cache. Does it make sense to contact my server if it’s only Chrome?

Republishing the form helps only temporarily.

I am not sure what is causing your form not to be saved. Mine did not work in ANY browser. I had the NINJA people look into it and they pinpointed the problem with the server, who had to make some adjustment on their end and now it works fine.

I had to disable my cache to get it to work. (WP Fastest Cache).

But that is not a long term solution.

I just quite using Contact 7. Now it looks like I have to leave Ninja.

    What a pain.

@aksteve Did you contact the server? Really that is all it could be.

I did. But while on the phone with them I disconnected the cache and the form worked.

So, I am not sure if it is a cache issue or a form issue. Though maybe it is a server issue, but hard to trouble shoot.

I’m getting a similar problem, where the form can’t be submitted if the user doesn’t have WP administrator role.

All I get is a “SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0” when checking at the chrome console, every time a non-admin user tries to submit the form.

How do you guys make ninjaforms check on your servers??? I’ve already sent a message on their support page, but it was never replied ??

Can you be more specific about what changes had to made on the server side to fix your issue?

The only thing they said was it was because of a security restriction from the host. The admin-ajax.php is providing the 403 error. So if you can, ask your host to loosen up the restrictions on the server.

    Thanks for the info!

We have the same problems with two customer pages since a lot of weeks.

Ninja forms stuck on processing. When we stop and restart the plugin it works. The pages have different themes, and we have testet 1 week without any plugins, the problem occurs again and again.

The plugin spontaneously ends with the work. Its very terrible for the customers,
because they do not notice that contact forms do not work!!!

We have sent a email through ninja forms, but they do not react. Great!!

From our site we must warn to use ninja forms in the version 3.1 (wordpress 4.8).
