• Hope someone can help. I have added a unique id in a hidden field using the code which sevenspark posted up in 2011.

I am having times when the counter is not updated in the sent mails (or stored data using CFDB) but the counter is incremented.

So I’ll get two emails/records with the same id but then the next submission is +2.

I’ve had one case of this where the form may not have been reloaded, but from the blog post it sounded like this should only affect the displayed id not the one in the mail.

In another case where it happened, it was two different users in completely different locations, so I know the page will have been “reloaded”.

    Any ideas?

I’m wondering if my web-hosts caching could affect this? I am not using any caching plugins currently, but my webhost (Siteground) has something called Supercache. I don’t know what the underlying implementation of that is but thought it was just a web cache (e.g. Varnish).

    Thanks
    Stuart
