    Dear Sirs,

There is definitely an issue with updating your plugin. I have the version created by Jordan Crown v1.1.0. WordPress claims there is an update available for the plugin, but every time I try and update, I lose the column button and my form goes back to the conventional layout. I have tried to deactivate Jordan’s version and then install your older versions and build up to version 2.1.0 but the same problem still occurs. On the surface it looks like the file names and folder structure of the plugins are different, so instead of overwriting, they are just sitting next to each other. I am guessing that Jordan’s version of the plugin makes a change to my database in some way which means that I would need to remove the plugin to get yours to work. Is this likely>

    Please let me know.

    Kind regards,

    Ian

Of course, I guess that the other answer is that you have no idea who Jordan Crown is and that by chance you have made plugins with the same name!

    Hi Ian,

Well this certainly does begin to explain some of the mysterious support tickets we’ve been receiving! Today is the first time we’d heard of the marvellous Jordan Crown, as he is sadly not a member of our team.

We’ll get in touch with the WordPress folks and see why Jordan Crown’s plugin is somehow linking to our www.ads-software.com plugin, and we’ll update this ticket as soon as we get to the bottom of the issue.

In the meantime, would you be able to send a link to the exact location where you downloaded the Jordan Crown plugin from, as this may be very helpful in resolving the problem.

If you’re happy sticking with the Jordan Crown plugin, then please ignore the upgrade notices for the time being. If you’d like to give our plugin a try, then our setup instructions are here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gf-form-multicolumn/installation/.

    Many thanks!

    Hi @hornet25,

The latest version (2.1.1) of our plugin should stop incorrect upgrade linking from any other plugins.

If you’re still experiencing any issues, please let us know and we’ll look into resolving them for you.

    Best wishes.
