• Folks–

Setting up several word press blogs has been a breeze. But on logging in after a vacation, I find that the rich text editor for all our blogs has disappeared, and I don’t have toolbars for bold, italics, links, etc.

I’m sure this is something simple, but in by vacation-addled state I can’t find it. Help greatly appreciated.

  • it might be a a plugin that you are using on your installs, deactivate all plugins and see what happens, have you also tried checking your local integrity such as your browser and your pc, maybe try other pcs or browsers might be a cache or cookie problem.

I turned the wysiwyg toolbar off in order to post a youtube vid. I am pretty sure I went to users, then opened the admin user and there was a small box to check/uncheck.

    Thanks for the replies.
It’s not a plug in; nothing has changed since the last one we installed, a long time ago.

It’s not browser dependent; I’ve tried them all

How do you turn the WYSIWYG editor on and off? I don’t see any control for that.

one more hint: what seems to be happening is that it’s coming up in VIEW SOURCE mode, with no apparent option for switching to the normal view. I was able to get bold, itals, etc by inserting the code directly, but couldn’t switch to the regular view. Any idea what that means and how to fix it?

    Thanks.
