Wordfence immediate blocking of wp-login.php visits not working

  • Recently I’ve been receiving a lot of traffic to my wp-login.php page, so first I installed the WPS Hide Login plugin, changed the login url, then added:

    /wp-login.php

    to the “Immediately Block” in Wordfence options.
    I’m still receiving a lot of visits to my wp-login.php page giving those people a 404 error, but their IPs are not being blocked!
    Any help?
