    Hello,

I’m using WP 4.6.1. I’m new at this, but was finally getting going with my website for my fine art. I’m using Theme Foundry’s “Make” theme. I installed 2 plugins: Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd and Gallery – A WordPress Modula Gallery. Everything was working fine. I went in to ‘customize’ to see why my header menu was not displaying a dropdown selection anymore. When I chose ‘menus’ in ‘customize’ the menu never loaded. It was just blank.

I quit and rebooted safari. I shut down and restarted my Macbook Pro. I deactivated the plugins. I switched to a couple of the WP themes. I reinstalled WP. I still can’t access any of the things in ‘customize’. The site is barely up. It has the home page and a couple of pages with galleries, that’s it. I have no idea what to do next.

    Please help!

    Maria

  • Hello Maria,

That is strange, although I have not used the “customize” section much for my work so I cannot really say why that is happening.

However if the menu is keeping you stuck, then you can modify the menu items from Appearance > Menus as well.

    Hi wpppatrickk,

Thanks for the tip. I was so caught up in the “customize” not working that I didn’t even think of that. So anything I would do from “customize” I can do another way?

    After trouble shooting and t
talking to Bluehost, it seems it may be that my wifi provider has some residual issues from that hack last friday, which is when this started.

Thanks for that suggestion. Now I can get on with it! ??
