• Hi everybody!

I have troubles with the text editor of Beaver page builder.

    So it can’t save changes.

When I’m editing text I use text menu and try to put   or <p> or <br/> or just press enter

in visual menu to make a new paragraph.

Sometimes it works, I see the changes but when I save and publish

all the editing disappears((( From other side I can set links, headers and all the stuff..

    Strange thing, right?

    Anticipating your questions:

I have the latest versions of WP and Beaver, all other plugins are deactivated.

    And I use Tesseract theme..

    Appreciate all answers.

  • I had the very same problem (still have). I use Beaver and Tesseract. WordPress, Tesseract, not Beaver did not have a solution for me.

My first thoughts were like yours, just manually insert LF/CR or &nbsp, or other paragraph codes. That was only minimally successful. So I had to develop a couple of work arounds.

The first one was to go to text view and put a   on a line all by itself, amking sure it was placed after the last formatting character. This works about 80% of the time.

The other was to create all of my text in notepad or other pure text editor. Then copy/paste one paragraph at a time. Next, format that paragraph all by itself (size, bold, heading, etc) Then press enter at the exact end of the last sentence of the paragraph (making sure you are outside the last formatting character), and copy/paste the next paragraph of text. This also works about 80% of the time.

Between these two work arounds, I can get most of the text the way I want it.

Hope this helps, and I would love to hear of any other solutions you come across.

Hi, Ren! Thanks for your answer.

    Appreciate it very much.

And I see that we have the same problem, so it exists not just in my mind)

But, Ren, I can’t believe that

super smart guys who develops all this awesome stuff don’t know the clue!

People, really, can anybody solve it out???

Yeah, I agree, there ought to be a fix. When I posed the same problem to Beaver, they had nothing to offer.

My fear is that it is the interaction of WordPress, Tesseract, and Beaver causing it. I removed all my other plugins to see if there was a conflict, but that didn’t help at all.

Meanwhile, all we can do is our best

    Hey guys,

    Thanks for posting!

That’s actually not an issue with the builder, that’s just how the tinyMCE editor works. The same thing happens when you’re on the native WP editor. Feel free to give it a shot! ??

If you want to add your own HTML tags, I’d suggest using our HTML module instead.

    Hope this helps!

    Ben

Ben, maybe it is time for Builder to change to a new editor. Is the paid version in the same boat? Thinking about upgrading.

    Hey Ren,

Thanks for the suggestion! As much as possible, we try to stick to similar tools WordPress is using for maximum compatibility.

And yes, our premium version uses the same for its Text Editor module. Our HTML module should work for your use case. In fact, that’s the main reason it exists, for custom markups. I’d suggest giving it shot. ??

Ben, big thanks, I was waiting for your comment.

Now the question is clear and we are ready to go forward.

Ben, you certainly gave it shot.

Ren, I wish us goodluck to find a good approach.

    Thanks

    Ok.

    I guessed an approach.

As Ben said, I use html editor of Beaver Builder.

And not to do everything manually there are servises which help to encode text with all necessary attributes into html.

Some specific code I suppose to add manually.

So, it looks like it’ll work.
