Create a WordPress site without a blog

  • I am very new to wordpress and was wondering is there a way to have a wordpress site that doesn’t contain a blog. I am creating a “brochure”/information type of site for a friends company and they want to have an about us type of thing on the homepage (no blog which is the default). Is there a setting that I change to set what page I want as the homepage of my wordpress site, and not have it be the blog.

  • Easily done.

    In the admin section go Settings > Reading > and you can designate a front page that isn’t the blog in “Front page displays”.
