• Hi everyone:

I activated the blog stats by W3 counter today after it had been sitting on my plug in page for a month or so. In a few minutes, my site went down with this message. I deleted the plug in file from my control panel on my server, but it didn’t make a difference.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: register_sidebar_widget() in /home/urant0/public_html/CarolSetters/wp-content/plugins/blog-stats-by-w3counter/w3counter.php on line 20

Would love some help with this – thanks so much.

    Carol

  • Delete the problem plugin from the plugin directory to get things working again. Then check to see if there’s a newer version of the plugin available if you still want that feature.

Thanks – I did delete it from my control panel at the server level, but nothing changed. I can’t even get into my admin panel to delete anything – my entire site is down with that error message.

Something might be caching your blog. If you have a caching plugin, remove it. Also, try holding down shift and clicking on the page reload icon to force an update.

Thank you again, I did the reloading to no avail, and I don’t have a caching plugin.
