• When I try and post a comment to test it out, it comes back with an “HTTP 500 Internal Server Error” message and the “website cannot display the page” message. I’m getting the error even if I fill out the comment form completely.

If I am logged into the account and open up another browser window (IE 7) the comments work fine. But when I logged out of the system and tried to add a comment, I get the 500 Internal Server Error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • it must be yours theme, what theme are you using, try the default theme and see if you continue to get error

    Persumably in IE yes?

Go to tools -> internet options -> advanced and uncheck “show friendly error messages”, then try again. You may get a more meaningful WordPress error.

Probably related to a plugin or theme issue.

I actually get the same problem and still have not found a solution. My wedding photography blog gets that 500 Internal Error only if I turn the commenting on pop-up, which is weird. Aside from that it works fine. I’m still searching for a solution!

I have the exact same issue, but it seems you solved it, I commented in your blog without problems, can you help me? https://www.sajornet.com
