  • Hi Dawn,

It looks like you may not have /events/ set as “Events” under Events > Settings > Pages > Permalink Slugs.

It would also be worth re-saving your permalinks in the main WordPress settings.

Thank you so much for replying!! Can you just give me a bit more detail?

I had deleted the sample event I tried, but here’s a new one with the same problem – 404 error.

Can you give me more details? I don’t understand your suggestion. I tried both events and /events/ in the plugin settings under permalink slug and no luck.

    Soooo appreciate your help!

“Events” under Events > Settings > Pages > Permalink Slugs should set to just events – nothing else.

The “Events page” under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives should set to the main Events page (which should be visible under Pages > All Pages).

After making these changes, re-save your permalinks under the main WordPress settings menu.

If that doesn’t help, it’s possible there’s a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?
