Switched to HTTPS, now have outbound clicks going to WWW
-
I recently switched my website to https, doing my best to follow instructions online.
My rankings have been fine, but now in Jetpack Site Stats, in the “clicks” section, I see a very laeg number of clicks going to “www.mysite.com.”
When I click the dropdown of these links, it shows the specific pages being clicked. Mousing over these links, the full hyperlink is shown as “https://www.mysite.com/whatever” as well as “www.mysite.com/otherpage”
Now, for users this isn’t an issue because I have all my 301 redirects set up to redirect to https:// version.
However, I don’t like the idea of my users being redirected all the time if I can help it.
I have already used the plugin Velvet Blues to mass update my links from www to https. When I look around my pages, and mouse over hyperlinks, the plugin did seem to work, all links appear to be https:// now, so I have no idea why my Jetback Site Stats shows click to “www.”
Where could they be coming from?
Thank you so much!
