As some compatibility issues had been reported which slipped through are release tests (sorry for that!), we decided to hotfix the current v3.11 package. New installs will not be affected from those bugs anymore, only users having upgraded to v3.11 or did a fresh install before this post was published.

If this is the case for you and you are experience any issues (like Google Geocoding not being properly initiated or errors on plugin activation), please manually re-download the current package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/leaflet-maps-marker.3.11.zip and overwrite all plugin files on your server in the plugin directory /wp-content/plugins/leaflet-maps-marker for applying those fixes (do not uninstall/reinstall the plugin as this would also delete all your created maps!)

We are currently preparing v3.11.1 which will officially include those hotfixes – anyway this release still takes some time as we wanna double check that no critical bugs are missed this time…

  • v3.11.1 has been released which includes all hotfixes – no more need to update manually as described in the post above.

    Hi Robert,

    Updated toward latest version 3.11.1.
Backend: Inserted the requested MapQuest key. In my case I executed the needed database downgrade for the Free version. Other issue is that if you change and save the maps within the param/setting for the map display control box it returns the specific check box param/setting page blank. After refresh it will display the new param setting for the map control box.
Frontend: Result is all Stamen layers are automatically displayed in the Map control box. Our Woocommerce product pages don’t show any initial set Map within your map-frame as they displayed before (map displays all blank/white), only when selecting a specific map through the map control box the certain map will display except for the Bing maps. So the Bing Maps still don’t show even if you select this from the map control box (initial set Bing API key was/is there).

So far tested on Chrome with active standard SSL. Rolled back to back up for now.

    Thank you,

    Cheers!

    Hi Robert,..

Other issue is if you know which Google Maps API we need to insert as you know that per 22 june 2016 there are a lot different Google Map API’s available:
    Google Maps Android API
    Google Maps SDK for iOS
    Google Maps JavaScript API
    Google Places API for Android
    Google Places API for iOS
    Google Maps Roads API
    Google Static Maps API
    Google Street View Image API
    Google Maps Embed API
    Google Places API Web Service
    Google Maps Geocoding API
    Google Maps Directions API
    Google Maps Distance Matrix API
    Google Maps Geolocation API
    Google Maps Elevation API
    Google Maps Time Zone API

    Thanks,

    Cheers!

    Hi paradore,

ad bing maps: could reproduce the bing map issue now – map tiles are not displaying properly. We will investigate how to fix this.

ad Google API keys: for Javascript API key for tiles please have a look at https://www.mapsmarker.com/google-maps-javascript-api – for Google Geocoding please have a look at https://www.mapsmarker.com/google-geocoding for tutorial on how to create the required API keys.
    best,

    Robert

Hi Robert,.. I’ll hear when the Bing Map bug is fixed. However I would use the MapQuest instead if their logo map displayed was of a more decadent size / less prominent with your latest version. Could you provide site wide css to remove and/or to hide this specific Mapquest logo?

As for Google Map the Google API Geocoding was my assumption too ..implemented.. works well!

    Thanks,

    Cheers!

I do not have code to remove MapQuest logo, sorry – I am also not sure if this would be in accordance with their ToS.

    Hi paradore,

sorry for the late reply – we have been busy.

regarding bing maps not being displayed: I just commited a hotfix for the current v3.11.1 release which fixes the bing issue since v3.11 – all new installations from now on will not be affected anymore. An official fix for alle existing users will follow (no release date set yet).

If you want to apply a hotfix, please download the current package manually from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/leaflet-maps-marker.3.11.1.zip, unpack the files locally and overwrite the file /wp-content/plugins/leaflet-maps-marker/leaflet-dist/leaflet.js on your server.
    best,

    Robert
