• For some pdf files, I have added the media from the library to more than one page. Checking the media item in the library, only one page link is listed but I think that is standard WP practice.
However, if I update a media item using this plugin and selecting the option to change the file name and update all links, then only one link is updated, and any others keep the previous name and hence give a 404 error.
From other threads, I understand that the plugin only searches the pages/posts table in the WP database, but I have been careful to add the media to pages via the add button, and not by hand typing the HTML code in the editor.
I am not using the upload to year/month folders in the media library. Everything is in one media folder.
    Any ideas ?

    An update to this report.

Whether I organise the media library in year/month folders, or not, makes no difference. I have two web sites with one organised each way.

As noted, WP only ever displays one page on which the media is loaded and does not display the name of any additional pages where the media is also loaded. Using this plugin to replace a media item with one having a different name, then the name link is updated for multiple places on the same page/post (which is the one displayed in the media library by WP), but is not updated at all on any other page.

I am aware of the issue with image files and different dimensions. This report only refers to pdf files.

I’m having the same issue here. PDF file get replaced with no issued. however, my links only one link gets updated. Rest of the links to that PDF file still has the old file name.

    thanks for your support.

Unfortunately, although we have a version update from 1 day ago, this particular problem has not been fixed.
