• I had previously entered FTP credentials for W3 Total Cache but need to change them. The error message I am getting are similar to:
FTP credentials don’t allow to delete folder /home/parivarji/files/www/pontus.co.nz/wp-content/cache/page_enhanced

However there is only 1 button for ‘Update via FTP’ which on clicking does nothing. I think I need to change login to Secure FTP login within FTP credentials. Can someone let me know how do I change FTP credentals for W3 Total Cache. I am on DigitalOcean. I tried adding FTP details to wp-config.php but that’s not helping me here.

It sounds like you have a permission issue from your hosting providers. The FTP account they have given you doesn’t allow you to delete folders.

I am on DigitalOcean (virtual private server) so I can make any change to settings I want. Is there some way to change the FTP credentials saved in w3TotalCache? It initally gave me option to enter ftp credentials but now it only allows me to ‘update via ftp’ I think problem is I selected login via ftp when I initally entered ftp credentials for w3totalcache. Instead I need to select secure ftp login and then it might work.
