Error connecting your account

From the looks of the error and the code in the plugin, that error is indicative that it’s having trouble authenticating things between the site and the Constant Contact API.

Just as a dumb luck possible solution, can you disable and then re-enable the plugin. Possible that some of the values used to authenticate will be cleaned up/updated and the new values will provide better results.

If no luck after that, we’ll keep digging in more.

I deactivated, then reactivated – same error message still – “There was an error connecting your account. Please try again.”

Other ideas? Should I have have deleted and readded the plugin instead if just deactivating?

No, deleting and readding won’t have any effect if deactivation and reactivation didn’t.

I don’t personally, but I pinged the people helping me earlier, before your reply @earthnutvt, so hoping to hear back soon.

We’re investigating some overall bugs that have been reported, and hopefully it helps clear up this issue.

Hi, I’m having the same exact problem. I’m going to try disabling various plugins and see if that helps.

HA – Either my timing was good and you already fixed it or I got it on the first try. I deactivated the ConvertPlug plugin (then deactivated and reactivated my constant Contact plugin… which may have been unnecessary)and was able to connect right. Hope this helps.

Nothing that I did specifically, so either it finally managed to connect for you, or something on the remote end worked.

I was having the same issue connecting my account, but I resolved the issue by deactivating all other plugins – then I connected my Constant Contact account – and then activated all other plugins again.

The issue has been solved for me.
