    Hello,

On the front page of my website I added 2 random single pics with a shortcode about a half year ago.

Now I did an update and the images are gone and I get a placeholder > ‘ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder’. On the other pages, where I’ve used Nextgen also, the galleries are still working.

If I delete the code and add a gallery with the shortcode button in the WYSIWYG-editor, I still get the placeholder. The more galleries I add, I get more ‘placeholder-messages’ > ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder, ngg_shortcode_1_placeholder, ngg_shortcode_2_placeholder etc…

    Here is the website: https://www.winniz-uden.nl/winniz

The images should appear in the upper right corner of the content.

p.s.: I also disabled plugins etc to see If any plugin does conflict with Nextgen.

    What’s the problem here?!

If you need login-codes to check, please mail me.

    Thanks a lot!

  • I have the same problem.

See the bottom of the site at Website Voorbeelden.

Happened just after the update. Any ideas?

    @ddewilt

Rolling back to 2.1.15 solved my problem anyway.

@ddewilt – I suspect this is more to do with where you are inserting the NextGEN Gallery display than anything else. It appears you are inserting something into a widget area which may not be rendering correctly or at least not as expected.

If you use the same settings to insert the display in a post on that same page does it work as expected?

    Thanks!

    Thanks to both of you!
I’ll try the rollback for now..

@photocrati: No, I haven’t worked on my site for a half year.. he did work correctly!! But after the update he gave this message and replacing the code with a New piece of code (from the New Version) did not work at all..I tried it allready ??

    Thanks!!!

@photocrati the idea by @ogessel by rolling back to earlier versions, I tried to check in which version it goes wrong.. in my case, I can roll back to version 2.1.50 and it will work. Upgrading to 2.1.54 or later will brake it down…

Maybe you can trace where something is wrong in the code (if there’s anything wrong). But I think maybe this is usefull information to you and for other users having the same problem on this moment..

@ogessel Misschien dat deze versie bij jou ook werkt, of had je dit al geprobeerd?

    Greetings..

@ddewilt – I suspect there is a conflict with another active plugin or your current theme as the references you are noting deal with some of our code used for compatibility sake.

If you update to the current version, does this happen with only NextGEN Gallery active while temporarily using a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
