This plugin really does make it quite easy to run a multi language website. I have several sites using WPML including one with WooCommerce.

Unfortunately there are things to consider as a recent reviewer also highlighted. While the support is very timely, most of the answers have been “deactivate theme and all other plugins and update to the latest version” before they will help. In one particular case of mine this is just not possible at all. As Amir replied to the other reviewer, they are trying to work to make this better going forward.

There are some annoyances with stuff that sometimes does not work, and finding settings in the admin panel can be a nightmare, however I would not really expect it to be completely perfect. It’s a complicated plugin that is compatible with many themes and plugins. I have no real complaints about the plugin currently – it’s working pretty well for all the sites on which I am using it.

And at the end of the day, I purchased the lifetime membership – it was a complete no brainer really. If you need additional languages on your wordpress site, then this is the plugin to buy. I used qTranslate in the past but WPML is far superior.

    Thank you for your support.

One of the major efforts during this year was to improve usability. I’m sure that you noticed that things moved around. Our goal was to make it as easy as possible to find what you need, where you need it.

I’m sure that we still have room to improve. If you can tell me which usability issues you run into frequently, we’ll do our best to fix.

If you’re interested, leave me contact info and we’ll arrange a quick call, so you can show me the main usability issues you’re seeing.
