Is it possible for the job application button to be disabled/greyed out after the user has a submitted an application? We would like users to only be able to submit their form once (we’ve got the button opening up a Gravity Form).

what “job application” button? Are you referring to something from a particular plugin?

This will likely be specific to the plugin you’re using for the form – as the submit button would only be greyed out when success criteria of the form have been met.

We have a Gravity Forms add-on – it’s called WP Job Manager – Contact Listing by Astoundify. There’s an option in the Job Listings > Settings page titled, “Contact a Job Form”. We then choose a pre-defined submission form in the Gravity Forms backend. This then activates an ‘Apply to job’ (or whatever text string you’d like to use) button beneath the job listing, deactivating an email/website application method. The issue is that the button remains there even after completing the form and sending it, so the user could make multiple applications.

The developers and users of this theme/plugin would be the best people to ask. You can reach them here:

Edit: I see you’ve got a message posted there already. Never mind. ??

Hi Steve, thanks, yes, I just added it. Seems like a logical option! Hopefully they’ll be as active as you are!
