SIP Social proof does not actually calculate the number of sales, WooCommerce does this by default. We just use this value to display it with a shortcode.
The most probable reason is that you made some test orders that were then deleted. WooCommerce adds to the total sales number after each order is placed.
To set the right number, go to the product page in question on the back end, from “Screen options” make sure Custom Fields is selected. Scroll down until you see a custom field named “total_sales”, overwrite with the right value and save. All subsequent orders will add to that number.
