• Hi,

I have renamed my wp-content directory. So, I am got an error saying as,

“An “invalid format” error prevented the request from completing as expected. The format of data returned could not be recognized. This could be due to a plugin/theme conflict or a server configuration issue.”

    Is this a plugin issue.?

So, in the second time before do anything I just installed the WordPress and iThemes Security plugin. Then I renamed the content directory. But it is gave me same error. Why this is and how can I figure it out.?

    Thanks

Are you using a Windows based server (instead of linux) ?
Is the web server being used on that server Apache ?
What browser are you using ?
    Multi Site ?
    PHP version ?
    MySQL version ?

If you provide the info above we might be able to figure this out.

    Thank you for your reply.

This is not a multi site and this is a single site.

I am using APACHE and PHP version is 5.5.33

    Thanks.

    Hi all,

I used former version of iThemes Security plugin and it is working well. I tested in a new installation.

What I figured out is this an error with the current plugin version.

    Thanks

Thank you for providing that info.
Still interested to hear whether you are using a Windows based server (instead of linux).

So are you saying the issue started with the current 5.7.1 release while it has been working fine in release 5.7.0 or older ?

“former version” is a bit vague …

Sorry for that. I am using Windows based server and this is not the first time I am using this plugin.

Yes I used latest version and I getting error on that. That is why I tried using a former version.

    @panatapattu

    No problem.
Are there any errors in the Apache error_log ?

At this stage I think you are hitting a Windows platform specific bug.
Any chance you can test this issue on a Linux based server ?

Yes I can see there are some bugs in error log. But XAMPP is linux based as well this plugin former version worked well but the newer is the problem.
