if First Name field hidden, activate email not sent

    Nice plugin, does what I want, but when I hide the First Name field on Reg form (after I’ve made it not-required with X-Profile User Sync) the Activation Email is not sent AND the “Check Your Email To Activate Your Account!” is not presented.

    If I don’t hide First Name and leave it empty, the activation email is sent.

    any ideas? would be nice to be able to hide it. I can hide it with CSS, but I get nervous when a plugin has a minor bug…
