[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NextGen Gallery Freezes when Creating Thumbnails

Ok, I’ve been having the same problem other people have been having:

when I try to “Scan a Folder for New Images” in the Manage Gallery area, or when I try to Import a Folder in the Add Gallery area it freezes up when creating thumbnails.

Now, there have been a lot of people theorizing that it has to do with server memory being too low. This doesn’t make sense to me because the plugin was working fine for at least a week before this problem started happening. If my images were too big, or if I was uploading too many images at once, I would have had this problem before. But I didn’t.

It’s only been in the past 2 days that I haven’t been able to create thumbnails.

I really like this plugin, it does everything I want it to and has the functionality I need … other than, you know, not working anymore.

Is there a fix for this problem? All the other threads seem to be dead!
