I’m aware that this plugin used to be called ‘Google Analytics for WordPress by Yoast’ or something like that.

Now that it’s been rebranded as ‘Monster Insights, new home of Google Analytics for WordPress’, am I right in thinking that the Yoast plugin is no longer needed to run it?

Because all I’m getting on my website is an option to set it up, and a list of extensions, and no option to see the actual analytics?

    Hi there,
You do not need Yoast SEO to use our plugin.

For backend statistics to show you must authenticate with your Google account on the first tab of our settings panel. If choose to use manual (non authenticated), you wont be able to see the analytics in the backend of your site but you can still find them in the Google Analytics dashboard on the GA website.

    Yes that’s what I presumed.

However, I still only have the ‘Settings’ and ‘Extensions’ panels on my website, and just in case the stats were in the site dashboard, I checked there too, but no luck.

And yes, the site WAS authenticated with Google (non authenticated).

    That’s odd.

On the first page of the settings panel, you have the “disable analytics dashboard” checkbox unchecked right?

Yep, all good to go, so to speak.

Never mind, I’m using another plugin now.
