PNG files increase in size

    I tend to save quite a lot of non-photo png files at bit-depth of 8-bits (which is pretty low).

    When ShortPixel optimises them, the lower resolution image files are actually larger than the original!!

    I suspect that this is because they are saved at a higher bit-depth.

    Hi,
    thanks for your message, if ShortPixel cannot reduce the size of a file then it won’t touch the original version. So an optimized image can only be smaller than the original one.

    But we would like to investigate more your case and see if we spot anything wrong.
