Simple Calendar (Google) will not Activate

    When I try to activate the Calendar I get:
    Required PHP version: 5.3.3 – Version found: 5.2.6
    Can you let me know what I need to do?

    I have found out by sheer luck as a passing talk to my host supplier, some time ago, he had mentioned the host php. I contacted him and was rectified immediately. Calendar now works,

    Yup the plugin requires version 5.3+ of PHP so upgrading that will solve the issue. Glad you got it working!

    I have installed the simple calendar-google plug-in and can not get it to activate.
    I am running Mint 18, apache2, php7.0, and WP 4.7.3
    I am a novice at this, so any help is apreciated.
    Trying to activate ver 3.1.9
