Keeping a post on top

Hello all,

I just started working with WordPress and like it so far. I would like to keep one post always on top as it acts as the intro to the site. I’d prefer to keep it as a post so other on our board can edit it instead of hard-wiring it into the php. I’ve searched around the forums and codex but can’t find a way to “pin” something to the top.

Also, is there a way to customize the order of posts? So the default would be chronological, but I’d like to be able to reorder posts occasionally. Thanks!
