    Hi there,

I have installed your plugin one hour ago only, but had the time to read all the documentation. It appears that there is a cache conflict between your plugin and my Comet Cache Pro.

    SETTINGS :

    Theme switching ENABLED
Apply switching to Admin area ENABLED
    Allowed user EVERYONE

    CONTEXT :

I have tested Theme Switcha on 3 different users with 3 different status (logged in as admin / logged in as subscriber / logged out (guest)). I had by the way the same IP (which is maybe the issue here) and was doing these manipulation on the same computer.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :

In facts, except when logged in as admin where everything works fine, I have random issues on the theme rendering for guests and subscribers. Some page are taking into account the switch, some others don’t. And it seems that after a server cache reset, the page who worked were not working anymore, and those who weren’t working worked oO (need confirmation, it’s late, i’ll test further after having slept).

    MY QUESTIONS :

1 – It seems it is a cache issue… I then wonder if it’s because I had the same IP and same computer for this test? I don’t really know if the cookie you store can take into account this information (furthermore, a cookie is for me “browser specific”)

2 – The concept of “Apply switching to Admin area” is kinda trouble for me. Does it mean it will apply the switched theme I choosed to all admins, and will let users the ability to switch to their own theme?

I’ll come back later after sleeping.

    Regards

[EDIT] My last check before going to bed have show me that I had to open these links in a new browser tab instead of the same tab. Can’t understand this… when in my previous test I litterally closed the browser, and sometimes tried to clear the browser cache. I’m stucked.

    Hi , glad to help:

    1) Yes the cookies are browser specific.

    2) If you choose to switch themes, it will apply to the Admin Area as well as the frontend. So if you are switching via cookies, then it will be only you who sees the switched theme (frontend and backend). Or if you switch via passkey, then anyone using the passkey will be able to switch themes on the frontend, and also on the backend, assuming they are able to log in.

    I hope it helps!

    Hi there,

I have tested with 3 different cache plugin, and by desactivating a lot of things (like WPShield, Remove Strings, Blackhole Bot, …), but the only solution is to have no cache plugin.

    That sucks…

Hello, I am working on compatibility with caching plugins, but still a ways off (it’s easier said than done — there is much involved). I do appreciate your feedback regarding this issue, and please let me know if I can provide any further information in the meantime, always glad to help however possible.
