AFAIK, I have the Give plugin set up correctly, including using the PayPal Gateway and paypal email address in the settings. When a visitor tries to use the Donate form, everything on our site appears to be working. However, when They click the Donate button, it takes them to PayPal – not the checkout page for our account. Not understanding why this is so.

Hey @spidre409 – Typically this only happens if the email address provided within the Give settings under WP-Admin > Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways > PayPal Standard – is not associated with a PayPal account. PayPal looks at the email Give passes, doesn’t know what to do with it because it’s not associated with an account and therefore redirects to the homepage as a fallback. Please double-check that the email address is properly associated with a PayPal account. If so, please provide a link to your site so I can see if there’s anything else I can discover as to why this is happening.

    Thanks for your question!

Verified that the email in WP and PP are the same, still no joy. The page is https://www.resolveit.org/donate/ Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

    TIA,

Hey @spidre409 – Thanks for the link. The other times I have seen this happen is when the HTML on the page is incorrect. Try creating a new page and adding the shortcode or previewing the single donation page to see if it works there. I see that the form is wrapped in a text-align:center; div. Try removing that wrapper as well. Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Bad HTML was the problem. Apparently someone before me added a form tag posting to PayPal. When the Give form was aded, its form was embedded as a child of the old one. Fixed – Thanks for the help!
