ultimate member sort by last name problem v 1.3.77

    I have just over 900 members that I just loaded into ultimate member, and set the member directory to sort by last name. Results are only an approximation of correct order ie

    Aguilera
    Ahleman
    Alfsen
    Akins
    Allbritten
    Alfsen
    Allbritten
    Alquiza
    Allen
    Alquiza
    …

    has anyone seen this problem before? I think it may only be a problem with the front end of the list.

  • Post a screenshot. Member directories are usually displayed in masonry layout fashion.

    I don’t normally use this orientation, but the screenshot below shows a bit more of the directory at a readable scale. Also, I noticed the same flaw later in the directory, it wasn’t just in the in initial page.

    I see your problem. Not sure is a UM issue. More like a WP issue instead.

    No solution, and my members did comment (complain?), but our method to mitigate was to not show results until a search has been done. Results are better with a smaller result set.

    Was there every any resolution to this issue? My directory is not sorting users by their Display names.
