I just created my blog. When the mouse hovers over the “comments” link it does not turn into a finger. When I do click on it to add a comment it just reloads the main page. I am using the passion duo green theme. As far as I can tell, comments are tunrned on and allowed in cp. The blog address is https://www.cogswappr.com

Not sure if this is the same issue, but when I move the mouse over anything on the page accept for the ads, the mouse never turns into a finger unless I actually click on it.

Also, if I click on a post title, a new window does not popu up with just that post like most other blogs.

    Thank you for your help,

    Craig

This might be an IE thing. This problem DOES occur in IE7, but not in IE 6. Oddly, though the logo at the top appears there in IE7, but at the bottom of the screen in IE6… UGH.

    Any suggestions?

Indeed, in IE7 you don’t seem to have navigation in the index (everything reloads). Does it matter if you change to default theme?

Would you mind elaborating? I’m a newb to blogging.

I will try this later today when I get home. I can’t try it at work because they only use IE 6.

Adding comments does work in other themese, so I guess it has to do wit that theme.

    Any ideas?

Yes: there’s something wrong with your theme. You can either fix it or choose another one (the latter is the easier option). For some reason all links in the index.php refer to the index.php and not to the url that it is supposed to. You could compare your theme’s index.php to the index.php of the default theme. That would be a WP lesson for sure…

    I figured it out.
I was trying to use the (forgot the name) method to put an image over the “blog name” in the header; where you put spans in the header.php and then add the span in the stylsheet. Once I deleted the span and the stylesheet info, everything worked; however now I have to figured out how to get my logo in there.. UGH
