• Hello All from a beginner.

I have installed WordPress on my Godaddy site just fine, but the one remaining problem is a small directory mix up that I hope someone out there can resolve.

When uploading the wordpress folder to my FTP, I can either upload the whole folder or the files within the folder. Both ways present problems:

If I upload the whole folder, then my site will not load without adding /wordpress to the end. https://www.domain.com does not work. You have to use https://www.domain.com/wordpress, which I don’t want to do.

If I just upload the files, then the site loads just fine, but I can’t log into the wordpress admin pages. https://www.domain.com/wp_login works fine, but when I enter the password and username, it tries to send me to https://www.domain.com/wordpress/….and of course gives me an error message.

Any advice on how to fix this quirk? Thank you!!
