• This plugin broke my entire site. I would not recommend it and if you try make sure you have a solid test backup before installing it.

    This could be resolved if the plugin a had feature that would revert all changes back to default prior to installing the plugin, but it does not.

    This plugin actually contains an (undocumented) feature to reset it.

    Also the plugin Description page (scroll all the way to the bottom) clearly states:

    Please read the installation instructions and FAQ before installing this WordPress security plugin. iThemes Security makes significant changes to your database and other site files which can be problematic, so a backup is strongly recommended before making any changes to your site with this plugin. While problems are rare, most support requests involve the failure to make a proper backup before installation.
