• When I try to insert or edit a Media File entry
    ( Manage > wordtube > Insert new media file), fill in the details and click “Add new media file”-button, it returns a 403 (Forbidden
    You don’t have permission to access /Danny/wp-admin/edit.php on this server.)

    it tries to post to this url:
    ..url../wp-admin/edit.php?page=wordTube

    this happens with the 2.00b4 and 2.00b5 version on a WP2.6.2 install.

  • Very strange. It should look at …/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wordTube
    Can you disable other plugins for a test

    Alex,

    put a WP 2.6-install back (this is located in a subfolder for testing, not in root of site), and used and tested the wordtube 2.00b5-version.

    Disabled all other plugins.

    still errors when:
    – editing an existing entry
    – adding a new one while using the url-fields (and NOT uploading a file)

    it works when:
    – adding a new entry WITH uploading the file (though afterwards editing doesn’t work)

    * error-msg when editing an entry:
    403 Forbidden
    You don’t have permission to access /Danny/wp-admin/admin.php on this server.
    url = URL-of-WP-install/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wordTube&mode=edit&id=3

    * error-msg when adding new entry:
    403 Forbidden
    You don’t have permission to access /Danny/wp-admin/admin.php on this server.
    url = URL-of-WP-install/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wordTube

    Are you login into the admin section via SSL ?

    Alex,
    your comment got me thinking that it might have something to do with server settings, so I uploaded the plugin to another hosting, and so far it does everything I expect it to do.. so maybe the problem is indeed the server settings.

    I will go in to detail about this issue with the ppl from the hosting company.

    grtz,
    tom.
