Running latest Jetpack on WP 4.7, as of this evening (sometime after 3PM EST) both the Publicize and Email Notification functions have stopped working.

Also, I see the following error message in the Publish box of the post editor:

“Before you hit Publish, please refresh the following connection(s) to make sure we can Publicize your post:”

Below that are two buttons for the two services I have connected, labeled “Refresh connection with Facebook” and “Refresh connection with Twitter”

If I press one of those buttons, I am taken to the Sharing settings page where I see those same buttons. No matter how many times I click them, the buttons come back, both on the Sharing page and within the editor.

Update: The issue with Publicize constantly asking to refresh connections appears to have stopped. My next post is scheduled for 9 am EST, and I won’t know until then if Publicize has resumed posting to my social media accounts.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

We indeed had some servers problems on our end. Sorry about that. Things are up and running again, and we’re processing the posts that haven’t publicized yet. Please let us know if you’re still having problems with this by the end of the day!

…and Email Notification functions have stopped working…

Same issue here. We had to stay at version 4.2.2, to keep it working, now that too suddenly fails to send notification email.

We’ve tried upgrading through versions as well as rolling back to 4.2.2 – No joy.

Anyone have a fix for this please? Would be appreciated!

@rogerwheatley The problem I mentioned above did not depend on the version of Jetpack installed on your site. You’re most likely experiencing a different issue.

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!

Hi Jeremy, I just wanted to let you know that Publicize and Notifications have been working properly all day. Thank you for checking in.

    Hi Jeremy,

I (remnandt.com) just tried to use Publicize for the first time and it’s broken for me as well. I had it configured with my Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ accounts but the published blog post never makes it to either of these.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
