Save copy in gmail sent folder?

I’m currently using a different SMTP plugin, specifically for Gmail, however, what I notice is that emails generated by the website are getting saved in the sent folder which is not necessary. While researching the issue, I came across a blog post where someone said they were using your plugin and their emails were NOT getting saved in the sent folder (but they wanted them to be) So, my question is, do I have control through the plugin whether emails sent through my Gmail SMTP will appear or not appear in the sent folder? I would prefer that they do not get saved there. Or if there is an option to choose to have them or not have them.. I suppose it’s handy for testing because you know all emails are getting sent out, but for normal operation, it’s not necessary and just clutters things up. Please advise?
