I want to have a page with past events. It looks like there is an archives function but there is no sign anywhere of what the url would be for such an archive, and there is no way to search the documentation. How do I make an archive?

you can try to use shortcode [events_list scope=”past” limit=10 pagination=1] in your wp page or post

Yes I know I can use a shortcode but I am hoping to use an archive because I can rewrite the template to my own design. WordPress has archives for that purpose and apparently this plugin has worpress archives and that’s what I’m trying to access.

The archives are viewable at yoursite.com/event/ – but if you have your default events page set to use the same URL / page it will override the archive pages.

For that reason, you’ll need to change the page / URL used for the main events list to make the archives visible.

That sounds great caimin_nwl, but how do I do that? If it were logical it would be in Event Manager Options->pages but when I go there I can’t find any way to change the URL for the events list.

/event/ was automatically forwarding to /events/ I tried changing the slug on the /events/ page to something thinking it would clear up that slug for use by the archive – but then /event/ just gives me 404.

You’d need to change two things:

    * The slug used for Events under Events > Settings > Pages > Permalink Slugs

    * The Events page set under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives.
