A few questions: Headers and borders

  • I will be starting an externally hosted WordPress blog (there’s no link because it’s not created yet). I’m wondering if anyone is able to help me out and point me in the right direction for coding or CSS to make the following things work:

    Question 1
    I’d like to create a header that is similar to this in design (https://albertaspeechie.blogspot.com) in that part of the header’s background will be transparent. Is there a trick to adding a header that has enough spacing above it?

    Question 2
    Is there a way to create a double line border around the entire blog wrapper?

    Question 3
    Is there a way to create borders around each widget in the sidebar? I’d like to use the double line border on these as well.
