WordPress broken after editing wp-config.php

  • I have edited my wp-config.php (added define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); to get the wp-super-cache plugin working. When i reloaded the site after this, it was broken (HTTP ERROR 500). Then i went back and deleted this line, reuploaded wp-config.php and the site is still broken.
    Has anyone had similar experience and most importantly do you know how to fix it? I can’t access the back-end either.

  • Try this
    In wp-config.php replace // ** and ** // with /* and */ and then upload the file.

    Firstly, make sure you deleted no more than what you added in config.php

    Secondly try to access the aite with a different browser: Your initial browser may be remembering a cached version of the site when it was broken.
