    1. Clean install WordPress 4.7.

    2. Download and activate Windows Azure Storage for WordPress 4.0.1.

    3. Set storage account either new or classic on Windows Azure setting page.

    4. Check “Use Windows Azure Storage for default upload”.

    5. Uncheck “Keep local files”.

    6. Upload an image on Media Library.

    7. Upload same name image again.

    8. Filename duplicate and overwrite image on Azure.

If check both options, don’t appear this issue.

    Hi @mocomoco,
Are you saying there are duplicate files on Azure or are you saying that your files are getting overwritten on Azure if they are the same filename?

    I mean the latter.

Normally, uploaded images (eg 1.”test.jpg” 1280×720 and 2.”test.jpg” 1080×1920) will have a suffix added to the name of the uploaded image even if the name is duplicated (eg “2017/03/test.jpg” 1280×720 and “2017/03/test-1.jpg” 1080×1920).

However, if “Keep local files” is missing, there is no suffix on the name of the image on Azure.

As a result, the image is overwritten when uploading, and the first uploaded image is destroyed.
(only exists “2017/03/test.jpg” 1080×1920 on Azure)

I am also having this issue. Are there any more thoughts on this?
