• Are there tutorials or a user manual for UAM? There are several things I thought I might be able to do with UAM but I can’t work out how. Maybe they aren’t possible.

It’s a website for a small choir. I need to restrict some posts, maybe pages too, to choir members. We want the entire posts hidden from public so the post titles don’t appear on the public website. So I’ve set up a group, “choir.” For posts, I’ll use a choir-member category and restrict the category. I may also set up a group and caegory for the committee. I think it’s probably best if I hide the menu items from the public too.

We need very obvious links/buttons and instructions to make it easy for people to register and to log in and log out, as quite a few of our members aren’t comfortable with unfamiliar IT.

So, things I’m not sure about:

    1. Registration page. At the moment, there’s the Registration link in the meta widget. Can I edit the registration window to add information that once they register, they’ll need to wait for me to assign them access to the members’ pages? And ideally to use our logo instead of the WP logo?

Or is it really simple and I just remove the registration link from the meta widget (or remove the widget entirely), create a registration page from scratch with a link to whatever the registration URL is?

    2. Same question for login page/window.

    3. How do I redirect where members are taken to when they log in? At the moment, they’re taken to their profile page. That will confuse most of our members. How can I direct them somewhere else automatically when they log in? I don’t mind if it’s the public home page, a restricted member’s “home page” I create from scratch or, if the menu is public, it could be the page or post they were heading for.

    Thanks for your help.

    Clare
