database connection

    My blog was working for 3 days at https://www.franklinj.com/blog/ but now I get a “Error establishing a database connection” error.

    I have checked :

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

    All is ok.. it worked for days! I called my service provider and he said everything is ok, the database is not down. In my database config panels it has a green light..

  • Did you change anything during this time?

    Check your server error logs to see if there’s any anomalies.

    I didnt change anything
    Error log has this:
    File does not exist: //webspace/httpdocs/favicon.ico
    File does not exist: //webspace/httpdocs/robots.txt

    It ended up being my hosting company 4 hours after they said there was no problem.
