Short codes: Questions

  • I am trying to add the Jump to First Recipe and Print First Recipe short codes, and have two questions:

    1) Can you point me to a resource that explains how to have them appears as buttons instead of text links

    2) Is it possible to set this up so that the appear at the top of the page by default, instead of having to manually add them in to each page?

    I did see your previous link in a previous post to template creation, but I am a WP novice and was having trouble following it.

    Hi there,

    1) You can style them however you want with CSS. This tutorial might be helpful: https://usabilitypost.com/2012/01/10/pressed-button-state-with-css3/

    2) That’s possible by editing your theme’s single.php file. That’s the file responsible for the output of the post page.

    Any WordPress web developer should be able to help you out with both of these. It’s nothing plugin-specific.
