gid suffix added to links

I noticed that when I add a link to a gallery image the link has an added suffix like below, of course breaking the link. In my example I am linking the image to a forum thread so it looks something like
https://www.example.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1377?gid=2
Using latest version
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gallery-by-supsystic/
